Apollo Davenport

The spoof ad we composed was about a Toyota Prius at the fuel pump with a bike in the background which had a sign that informed the customers that it did not use gas. The object of that would be that even though the Prius was energy-efficient, the bike would be even better for the environment as well as being cost-efficient. The object would be to de-emphasize the “wonderful characteristics” that the car is supposed to have. The car is one of the biggest objects that is also closest to the view through the idea of perspective. In the background is the bike which needs to be searched for but it seems more appealing with the signs that make it desirable. The bike is displayed in a way that would emphasize its features of being environmentally friendly as well as being cheaper in the long run. The ad is also shown in way that would appeal to the average person. Taking a common situation which involves waiting and the bike is what appeals to the consumer. The bike is also shown in a way that would demonstrate how it would never need gas at all. The bike is meant to appeal to the consumer to make a transition towards another means of healthy transportation.
